Bosh-Marion!

Raptors 97, Wizards 96

In a another meaningless game, the Raps put together a late run to put away the Washington Wizards in the closing seconds.  Chris Bosh nailed a wide open three with 9.9 seconds to play to put the Raps up one on the Wiz.  The Raptors returned the favor to the Wizards as Caron "Tuff Juice" Butler hit the game-winner against the Raps in Toronto on Friday, Bosh capped the Wiz with the game-winner in Washington.  The Raps' 17-3 run towards the end of the fourth along with a Juan Dixon turnover in the last minute, help set up the play for Chris Bosh as the Raps outscored Wizards 25-16 in the final quarter.

Patty O'Bryant got the start at centre for the Raps as Andrea Bargnani sat the second game of the back to back.  O'Bryant finished with 8 pts and 1 board.  Both Marion and Bosh had huge games with 25 pts/15 boards/2 blocks a piece, Jose had only 4 pts but dropped 12 dimes against the Wiz.  "The British Bulldog", "The Black Elephant",  " RUN PMB" Pops Mensah-Bonsu had a nice game with 9 pts, 12 boards and 5 steals.

The Wizards lost Antawn Jamison in the fourth quarter to an ankle injury, as it was left up to the the Washington young guns to finish off the fourth.  Caron Butler led the Wiz with 28 pts and 9 rebounds, and the Wizards got 23 pts/7 rebounds from Jamison before leaving the game for good.

Key Notes:

  • The Wizards shot 46% while the Raptors only shot 40%
  • Raps outrebounded the Wiz 51-49
  • In earlier news, Raptors signed Quincy Douby for the 09-10 season, his line tonight?  0 pts, 2 assists, 1 rebounds

  • Raps play their final game at Chicago on Wednesday
