Cavs 93, Raptors 76

I was really hyped for this one with Lebron James in town, a new-look Raptors squad, Raptors on a 2-game winning streak, it was the makings of a good game. But nah....it was a bit of a snoozefest.  Even Lebron didn't make it exciting, Big Z did all the scoring for the Cavs.

Here were the highlights:

Raptors were Bosh-less
Chris Bosh wasn't 100% so he sat this one out. He looks like he may be back on Friday for the game against the Knicks.

Shawn Marion made his debut as a Raptor
The line: 10 points, 6 boards, 6 assists, 1 steal & 2 blocks
Not bad.  Shawn Marion has always been a good fantasy player not only because he's good offensively but also because he gets it done on the defensive end. Throughout his career, he has averaged almost 2 blocks and just over 1 steal a game. He definitely fills the void that the Raptors had at that SF position. He didn't dominate last night's game but he did play good D on Lebron, and when Bosh returns, they should make a good combo.

Joey Graham at Power Forward?
Joey Graham got the start in place of Bosh and it was weird. Going up against Anderson Varejeo with Big Z right behind him, Joey Graham couldn't get it done last night. He's just too small at that position and it showed. Big Z had an easy 22 points and Varejeo had an easy 14 boards on Graham. The Raptors bench looks a little ugly now with Roko, Kapono, Banks Voskuhl & Jawai coming off the bench.

Key Notes:
  • Jay Triano was ejected with 5 minutes left in the 4th, after a non-call by the refs
  • Marcus Banks made his debut as a Raptor with 4 pts, 2 assists & 1 steal
  • Raps were killed on the boards 48-32
  • Raps did not shoot the ball well, shooting 36% vs. Cleveland's 58% shooting
  • Lebron almost had a triple dub going for 20 pts, 9 rebounds and 9 assists

Jawai Watch: Ok Aussie fans, Nathan Jawai got his first NBA basket!  Aussie Shaq had 2 points, 1 rebound in 5:25 of PT.

Former Raptor Watch:  J.O.: 13 pts, 1 board, Jamario: 0 pts, 1 rebound in the loss for Miami

I live blogged the game last night for TheScore.com, so if you feel like reading 11 pages of chat, here it is.
