Help Haiti: How the NBA and Samuel Dalembert have lent a hand, and HOW we can as well

By now we've all seen the devastation and the dispair caused by Tuesday night's earthquake in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.

Haiti has been ravaged as of late by natural disasters and they were slowly recovering from the hurricanes of 2008, only to find themselves once again scrambling for shelter, food, and supplies. The response from around the world has been incredible, as it was with the Asian Tsunami disaster of 2004.

Haitian-Canadian and Philadelphia 76er Samuel Dalembert personally donated $100,000 plus matching fans' donations during the Sixers' home game this past Friday night to UNICEF for Haiti Relief Efforts on behalf of his foundation. 

The NBA and the Players Association have donated one million dollars in support and have also issued a call to action asking people to support UNICEF.

Samuel was on 'Larry King Live' this week speaking about the disaster that has had such an effect on his homeland:
